NOTICE: All images on this site are copyrighted.

Paintings Made from Others' Photographs = Illegal.

Photographs are automatically copyrighted the minute the photographer presses the button. Unless the photographer has expressly given permission for use, making a painting based on a photo infringes on national and international copyright laws; photos are subject to the same stringent copyright rules as are paintings and illustrations.

If You are Asked by a Client to Copy Someone's Painting or Photograph:

Not only is it an insult to say to an artist "Hey, I like your work, but will you copy this other guy's art for me?" It can also be illegal. Give a suggestion as to what you will paint instead, in your own style and of your own design. Let them know that you don’t want to break any copyright laws.

If you ARE an artist, you may come up with something better than the original.

Illustrations: The pen-and-ink illustrations were drawn with crow quill pens, Winsor Newton inks and Luma Dyes on translucent vellum paper during the years 1970-1975.

Newer works are composites of the early illustrations, new paintings, and photographs taken during world travel.

Mediums include acrylics and watercolors on Arches museum-quality digital paper, Arches Aquarelle Watercolor Block, Artist's Studio canvas, or any texture that looks interesting

The World Images web site features photographs and illustrations from travels around the world, beginning with the North Coast of California (home base), dozens of states, and 30 countries including Japan, Thailand, French Polynesia, Australia, France, Greece, Italy, England, Ireland, Wales, Turkey, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

I have kayaked freezing waters through the San Juan Islands, warm waters in the Sea of Cortez, through storms on San Francisco Bay, and floated on cruise ships throughout the Mediterranean and Carribbean.
